Anger and anxiety
Anxiety can feed anger by making the body scan for threat. When the body is already on guard, a normal disagreement can feel like disrespect, rejection or danger. This is why anger often feels bigger than the situation.
The body reaction
Anger and anxiety both involve activation. Muscles tighten, breathing changes, attention narrows and the brain starts looking for proof that something is wrong. The skill is to lower activation before solving the issue.
The reset
A useful reset is to pause, exhale slowly, lower the shoulders, reduce the voice volume and ask: “what am I defending against right now?”

Common questions
Is anger always bad?
No. Anger can be a signal that something matters, but the behaviour that follows still needs responsibility, safety and choice.
Can anxiety feed anger?
Yes. Anxiety can make the body scan for threat, so disagreement may feel more dangerous or disrespectful than it really is.
