Anger management techniques
Good anger management techniques are simple enough to remember when the body is activated. The aim is not fancy theory; it is a repeatable plan that lowers risk and helps you return to the real issue.
Technique 1: body reset
Use a slower exhale, unclench your hands, soften your jaw and lower your voice. This changes the argument before the words do.
Technique 2: safe time-out
A time-out is not punishment or avoidance. It works when you say where you are going, when you will return and what issue you will come back to.
Technique 3: repair sentence
Repair starts with ownership: “I reacted badly. The issue still matters. I want to talk about it without attacking you.”

Common questions
Is anger always bad?
No. Anger can be a signal that something matters, but the behaviour that follows still needs responsibility, safety and choice.
Can anxiety feed anger?
Yes. Anxiety can make the body scan for threat, so disagreement may feel more dangerous or disrespectful than it really is.
Is this emergency support?
No. This site is educational and for booking enquiries. If someone is in immediate danger, use local emergency services now.
